JOHN 6 

“Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.” (verse 53)

Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this, he said to them, "Does this shock you?" (verse 61)

As a result of this, many [of] his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him. Jesus then said to the Twelve, "Do you also want to leave?" (verse 66-67)

Simon Peter answered him, "Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God." (verse 68-69)

REFLECTION

Pray with John 6:22-71

Read through the passage slowly, letting the words sink in.

If something stands out to you, sit with it and ask God what He's trying to tell you.

Hear Jesus ask YOU the questions: "Does this shock you?" and "Do you also want to leave?" Have an honest conversation with Him about your thoughts, feelings, questions, and desires.
